Meet Tina
Tina Janczura DaSilva is a writer, global communications executive, podcast co-host, mom, and wife who transforms complex, emotionally layered experiences into stories that feel simple, relatable, and deeply shared. With more than 20 years in communications—and as someone navigating perimenopause herself—she brings clarity, humor, and heart to life stages many women quietly question on their own.
The Perimenopause Parade was sparked one night while reading her daughter a bedtime story about feelings. In that moment, Tina realized that grown-ups deserve the same compassion and reassurance we so naturally offer children—especially during life’s messiest transitions. Tina lives in the Chicago area with her husband, Adam, and their children, Emerson and Rhea.

Welcome to the Circus
One day you’re feeling confident and energized. The next, you’re crying over nothing, snapping at everyone, forgetting words, and wondering if your body has joined a secret rebellion.
Welcome to perimenopause—and the parade of emotions that comes with it.
The Perimenopause Parade is a humor-meets-heart picture book for women navigating this wildly unpredictable stage of life. Through playful rhyme and charming illustrations, readers meet a cast of animal friends—from a weepy kitten and a hangry raccoon to an anxious deer and an exhausted bear—each representing a very real perimenopause emotion.
This parade isn’t here to overwhelm you. It’s here to guide you.
With warmth and wit, the story invites readers to honor their emotions, find compassion in the chaos, and remember they’re not broken—they’re evolving. Perfect as a gift or self-love reminder, this book says what every woman needs to hear:
You’re not alone. Everything you need is within you.

Soothing her sweet soul after crying all through the night.

Begging for sleep while trying to resist the urge to doom-scroll.

Currently simmering with a look that says "don't even think about it".

Fierce, gorgeous, and finally ready to let her voice pierce.

Moving at a much slower pace thanks to a thick cloud of brain fog.

"Just read my 3 yo & 12 yo this funny book about Mommy’s big feels. It was perfect! I think it’s a cute gift idea. Nice to know technically my new crazy is “normal.” Took something that’s been ruining my life & made it a little less scary and a whole lot more fun. Let the adventures begin!"

"This book is so heartwarming and relatable. I’ll be buying this for all my friends in perimenopause!"

"This is a cute, light, funny read for a topic that affects every woman. My friends and I all read it feeling so understood! We strive to be a peacock every day, but many days we’re the exhausted bear, and that’s ok! Having an animal help me describe my feelings and get a few laughs with our friends has made for some great memories."

"I absolutely loved this book. It’s rare to find a resource on perimenopause that is both genuinely informative and genuinely fun, but this one pulls it off beautifully. The little characters that represent different symptoms and experiences are clever, relatable, and—honestly—comforting."

"This book is such a fun and original idea. What a great gift for anyone looking for a bit of humor and emotion, combined with perfect illustrations"

"This was a very insightful and entertaining read!"

"I love the premise for this premise for this book! Thank you for writing it!!"

"What stood out most to me was how the author blends humor with honesty. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the realities of perimenopause, I felt seen, understood, and even entertained. It’s the kind of book you want to hand to every friend who’s starting this transition so they know they’re not alone. A thoughtful, creative, and empowering read."
